Why Should You Go to Summer Camp?
Experience God in A New Way!
Summer Camp is a place where students' faith is impacted in big ways! Every aspect is designed intentionally to create a space where students can encounter God in new ways and allow Him to change their lives forever.
Deepen Friendships!
Spend time with your small group, deepening relationships. If you’re new to CHS or want to invite friends who have never been, this is a great opportunity to develop a new relationship in an organic way.
Did we mention a week at the beach?
In case you missed it, you’ll have an awesome time at the beach, deepening your relationships with both God and other students!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
-
Welcome! To register, click here, and you will be guided through the initial registration. You’ll submit a deposit with your initial registration as well. Keep an eye on your email for a confirmation message with links to other required forms. You will have until May 12 to complete any required forms and make your final payments. You can log into your account at any time from the confirmation email to complete these steps.
-
We want Summer Camp to be a safe environment for all of the students and leaders attending. That being said, it is too early for us to know what guidelines and/or requirements will be in place for camp. The camp will be following whatever NJ state recommendations are in place in the month of July. Currently we are not anticipating having mask or testing requirements, but we will keep you updated on what will be required or recommended as we get closer to camp.
-
Someone on staff will call the phone number you provided us on the registration form. Please be sure that this information is accurate.
-
Why? There is nothing inherently evil with cell phones. Simply remember our purpose...cell phones by their very nature can hinder us from "getting away" and focusing on connecting with each other. When we plug into our phones, we tend to unplug from others. Parents, please help us by honoring these requests. Your student does not need a cell phone to get in contact with you "just in case." They will always be near an adult who can take care of any situations or can contact you in case of emergency.
-
The emergency contact information will be given to you at Check-In. You may also contact your student's small group leader if needed.
-
There will be a link to a medical form in your confirmation email. Please fill this out online and submit it.
-
Yes. We ask that you provide your student’s up-to-date medical information each year. Neither Calvary Church nor Harvey Cedars Bible Conference keep any sort of medical files on students.
-
If it went through, you should get a confirmation email.
-
If you did not receive a confirmation email, please email Calvary Students.
-
You will be required to submit at least a deposit at the end of the registration form. For early and regular registration, you can choose between partial payments or just paying the full amount at the time of registration.
For those applying for scholarships, you will be required to submit a $75 deposit with your online registration and submit the final payment later, if needed.
-
That is totally fine! We just need to know the details about the situation ahead of time. It’s super easy to do that…just fill out this quick form before camp, and we will make sure your student is ready to be picked up when they need to be or that a leader is there to meet them whenever they are dropped off.
-
Not to worry! Keep an eye on your email! We will send all of the information that your student will need for camp no later than 3 weeks before they leave. This will include Check-In details, packing list, schedule, student & safety guidelines, dress codes, & prayer list.
-
That is okay! You can download the medication dispensing form from the medical packet here, and just bring that with you to Check-In. We do need one of these forms in order to be able to dispense medication to your student, so be sure to fill one out! There will also be blank printed copies available for you to fill out at Check-In.
-
We are happy to help you with that! We never want a student to miss out on a retreat because of financial need. You can follow the instructions listed above the registration form to apply for a scholarship. If you have any questions regarding scholarships, please email Calvary Students.
-
It depends. Once our final payment is due, Calvary pays the full amount for ALL students signed up at that time. Refunds will only be given before May 12, 2024. After this date, we no longer have your money or are able to get it back in order to refund you. The only exception is for a documented medical reason.
-
Sure! Sometimes, we know of a student or two that would be interested. Please understand that Calvary is not responsible for finding a replacement for your student. Just email us and let us know the details and we will help to get that student registered.
-
Well, that depends. If you want a refund, they would need to pull out before final payments are due on May 12, 2024. Otherwise, there is not technically a drop-out date, but it is extremely beneficial to all of us planning the retreat if we get this information at least two weeks before camp. But you don’t have to wait that long, either…the earlier we know, the better!
-
Cancellations must be sent in writing via email to Calvary Students and confirmed with a response email. Cancellations made between now and May 12 will receive a full refund (minus the deposit which is non-refundable). Cancellations sent after May 12 will receive no refund of any kind.
