Continuing what Jesus started

IHN is a program designed to help the local homeless population by providing shelter, education, and transportation with the goal of helping them find permanent housing and employment. Their primary clients are single women, with or without children, and occasionally there will be married couples.

We’ve been talking about leaving our “fingerprints” by showing Christ’s love to others, in our church, neighborhoods, community, and around the world. We don’t have to travel abroad to be Missionaries. We can do that by meeting the needs of others right here in our own neighborhood. Is God leading you to get involved?? This is an amazing opportunity.

Calvary Church has been asked to provide support once again to Interfaith Hospitality Network (IFHN), from March 8-21. Volunteers are needed to help the homeless here in our own community, in conjunction with IFHN, as it works to provide shelter for families in area churches. Those who volunteer can choose to help in a number of different ways. Some will prepare and share the evening meal; others will sleep over and provide transportation to the day center for those who need that.
